I know this is late feedback, but this is just on the TV section: - A lot of TV stations would let more ads air before actually airing the program, unless it was a important presentation (I.E Emergency Alerts, Breaking news, etc). I understand that you want the story to move faster, which is completely fine but this gives it a more realistic edge. Even though what aired at 5:17 was a government presentation, historically this was meant for casual viewing. - Many TV stations would have their ident or logo in the mid-bottom right of the screen (with some exceptions). Other than that, you did a amazing job on this!

Good editing. Under EBS, there would have been one of three tapes (stored at FEMA Bluemont) used, totaling almost 3 hours of content. I suspect at least some tape exists for EAS. The tapes in question are in my bio and should be free of copyright for content creators.

Really good one, among the best on youtube, especialy give no real actors were used. Nice concept overall. "The Last Broadcast" is also very good - at least it's how the video is named on youtube. It tells a story from the perspective of Canadian radio broadcast, of rapidly developimg nuclear crisis. Obviously things are sped up a bit, but it's really well done with mostly very good acting. When it movies Countdown to Looking Glass seems to be the best in the genre, with light drama elements, and nicely and realisticly presented tensions beneath the veil of normalcy. So when the shit hits the fan it's almost taken with resignation.

Watching this in 2024 with the war going on over yonder gives me major goosebumps. This feels WAY too real, man! WAY TOO REAL!

You got the 80's small-market TV station look correct. From 1985-88 I worked at KFBB-TV in Great Falls, MT. Great Falls is also home to the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom AFB. I think you did a really good job of capturing the Cold War fears of the 80s.
